The way to treat the edentulous patients is implant application. An implant is a titanium screw inserted into the jawbone. In some cases, jaw bones can be seen as age-related. In this case, it may be necessary to place the upper canine implants in the higher bony above. In this procedure, special implants are used which are produced longer than normal. The locations of the implants are determined and implemented by the jaw surgeon and prosthetic specialists.

In some cases it is not possible to place implants in the back of the jaws due to too much of the upper and lower jawbone. In this situation, bone grafts (patches) taken from different parts of the jaw or the pelvic bone are transplanted with molten regions. This process is time-consuming (average 4-6 months), a cumbersome and expensive process. In such cases, the other alternative bone is generally more intact and thicker, with 4 implants placed in the anterior region. One of the best parts of this process is that patients can go out clinically with temporary and permanent teeth on the same day. This process is commonly referred to as ‘tooth in one day’.
